Oh my soul... to mom's delight and to our physiotherapist's horror, Gidion started to bum shuffle about 2 weeks ago!! I know I'm not supposed to say it out loud, so I'll whisper it.. "it is the CUTEST thing EVER!" Heeheehee...
In my heart I can't stop myself from saying "go baby go!" when he starts shuffling on that cute little bum of his. Luckily we have some padding now - we're weighing in with the scale grrrooaaaning at 6.4kg!!! Well done my boy! He's gained almost 600g since that bloody gastro bug.
The physio said that the chances of him crawling now is very small, since it is much easier to bum shuffle - he would probably just start walking. Off course mom had a small heart attack (keep in mind that I have an analytical mind!)...what about the maths??? So she said that it's not the end of the world, as long as we exercise the components of crawling, he'll be as right as rain. And by the way, I know of a LOT of people who crawled who barely scraped through in maths. SO! *smile*
Gidion is MUCH less frustrated now that he is mobile, and when he gets bored with mom's presence, he just shuffles off to new and exciting territories - like the bathroom where he can roll down the WHOLE toiletroll and happily wrap it around himself! Off course mom has to rescue him then...
Just one teeny weeny obstacle...We're having a bit of a problem introducing textures. The moment he has any kind of texture in his mouth he would gag and vomit out all the precious food mom took so long to give to him. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
